New FIFA 2002 Screenshots By Matt Wednesday, 10 October, 2001
We here at Sports Goal have got our hands on a copy of the full, ready to be released version of FIFA 2002 for the PC. I've been playing it for a solid day now and although I will have a full review up tomorrow, let me tell you this... you're in for a challenge. This year EA has taken FIFA 2002 to a whole new difficulty level. Where as in FIFA 2001 I would have won in World Class mode, I am now struggling to score a goal in Professional mode. On top of this, FIFA 2002 does not feel like the same FIFA we've come to know over the past 5 years. This is a whole new feeling game and one I am certainly enjoying.
We've just uploaded 34 high-res screenshots over at our FIFA 2002 preview site. Two are pictured below.
Stay tuned as we'll have a full and very detailed review of FIFA 2002 up tomorrow along with more screenshots... inparticular shots of the menus, team kits, stadia and options.
Everyone at our Sports Goal Forums has caught FIFA 2002 fever. Make sure you head there today to give your opinion on what FIFA 2002 will be like. I'm also personally answering question on the game there.

A Bunch of Soccer Games Reviews By Matt Monday, 8 October, 2001
Time to get you all up to date on the latest soccer games reviews from around the net.
First off the rank is Console Domain who give FIFA 2002 on the PS2 plenty of praise.
"The sound effects compliment all this graphical splendour with chants, drums, horns, and occasional shouts and screams from the on-pitch players. One particular example had one of our overpaid heroes' give out a desperate groan after he'd been thumped in the groin by a Beckham screamer."
Total Video Games have joined the party with a review of EA Sports' FA Premier League Manager 2002. In part they say:
"The difference between EA's and Eidos' offerings are huge, whereas in CM you can actually feel the pressure building up on you and have to soak yourself in pages of pages of stats, EA takes that away and what remains is a stripped down affair with a flashy front-end, 3D match engine and license that will appeal to a lot of people. Seemingly knowing that they have no chance of competing with the CM series on it's own terms, EA have taken a different approach and made the football management sim fun and entertaining rather than addictive and frustrating."
We'll have our own hands-on review of FIFA 2002 for the PC very shortly. Our FIFA 2002 dedicated site is currently starting to take shape so make sure you check back to Sports Goal regularly.

Ferrago Champman Interview By Joe Saturday, 6 October, 2001
The guys from Ferrago have just completed an interview with Championship Manager (CM) founder Paul Collyer. In this interview done by Luke Guttridge, they focused on the upcoming addition to the CM series, Championship Manager 01/02. "[Luke Guttridge]The latest instalment is sure to be the most advanced as any CM fan knows. How much more detailed a management simulation is the latest version; and how does it improve upon previous editions?
[Paul Collyer] Well we have added some nice new features, such as the need to scout obscure players to get their full info, the ability to compare players and board ultimatums. But most importantly an updated database with all the latest transfers from the close season."
It's definitely worth a look. If you want to read the interview in its entirity, click on over to the Ferrago Paul Collyer Interview!
