The official website takes football fans on a guided tour of the videogame, showcasing many of football's superstar players with stunning authenticity and re-creating the real-world tournament's passion and excitement. Each week the site will be updated with news, videos and features so fans are encouraged to visit often to keep up-to-date on their favorite football videogame that will be in stores worldwide at the end of April.
Developed under the EA SPORTSTM brand, the 2006 FIFA World Cup official website has been localised for 12 international markets and in nine different languages. It features an overview of the videogame's features, gameplay videos of the world's top-ranked teams and previews all 12 official stadiums that will be used in Germany. Football fans will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the videogame with developer Joe Nickolls, lead producer on 2006 FIFA world Cup, and the ability to download 2006 FIFA World Cup wallpapers.
