The Office
Stadium
Your stadium has only 2000 seats when you first take
over your team. However you can build and add on seats and other facilities to
your stadium. If you click on the link "change stadium" you find a
page where you can get proposals of the cost as well as the timeframe for any
structural change you would like to make. The stadium is a very important part
of your club and you want to try to make sure that you have enough seats for all
your fans but yet not too many. As there is cost associated with each seat and
structure you want them to be as close to filled as possible to be as efficient
with your money as you can. The ticketsales is your largest income.
You simply fill out what you would like to build
such as standing, sitting and VIP seats. You can also add facilities such as:
- Restaurant
- Hotdog stand
- Fast food
- Pub
- Souvenirshop
- Clinic
- Hotel
|
Once you have selected what to build click on the
link "Get proposal". Immediately you will get a price and timeframe
back from the builder. If you like it and would like to build what you chose
then click "Build". If not you can just leave the page and nothing
will be changed.
To have other facilities does not only help your
finances but also helps to make your stadium a little more popular to visit.
Observe that when you build it will not be
finished on a weekend. If the proposal states that it will be finished on a
weekend you will actually not have it until the following Monday.
If you have built your stadium too large you can
choose to tear some of it down. Under "demolish" you can select what
and how many to demolish. This can be good because if you have too big of a
stadium you might lose money as it cost a lot to keep up.
As you stadium grows the looks of it will change.
To make the game a little more interesting we do not disclose the amounts that
it cost to run your stadium or facilities. You will find out as you get into the
game and learn what the costs are. If you hang in the forum a lot you will
probably get ideas from your fellow managers.
Finances
Under "Finances" you find your expenses as
well as income. On the top you find your income per line item and how much those
are. Ticketrevenue is usually your larges income. You also get some of your
income from sponsors and currently you cannot affect that value.
"Facilities" shows your income from running hot dog stands,
restaurants and other facilities.
Below you find your expenses. If you build a
larger stadium or add to your facilities that cost is shown under the line item
"other". What you see in the table are the cost and income for that
particular week. One week at a time. You have links that show you weeks in the
past. You can also get a projection on how this season might end up if you go at
the rate you have been so far this season.
It is important that you run your finances
responsibly so you always have enough money. If you start falling behind you
risk going into bankruptcy. If you are below 0 (negative number) for more than 5
weeks you will lose your club to bankruptcy.
Every Saturday ManagerZone runs the finances of
each club and you can then check your updated report and also how much you have
in total assets.
Youth
All the way down on you finances page you find a
section for your youth program. There you can state how many youngsters you
would like to have in your club to train as your own original players. Be aware
that it can take up to one week for the change to take affect. The players do
not come immediately nor do they leave immediately.
Each junior player can be very different. With
luck you can end up with very good players and with less luck, not so good.
Normally it is a mix. Each junior player cost you $2500 (or similar in your
currency) to keep every week. This is a fixed cost and does not change. You can
see that a junior player does not have a salary stated on their profile, just
because they are juniors and therefore do not receive salaries. However they do
cost to train and maintain.
You can at any time change the number of youth
players you want. However if you choose to go down in numbers you cannot choose
which player that leaves your club. It will be chosen for you - at random.
Transfers
There are two ways to better your team. Either you
train your existing team or you purchase players on the transfer. A combination
is of course the most common way to improve your overall team on the field. If
you click on "transfers" you will see players that are for sale. There
are three additional links on this page. If you click "search" you can
choose what skills players should have for you to be interested in a particular
player. If you find the player that you would like to buy you simply make a bid.
This becomes an auction where the highest bid wins when the deadline has passed.
If you make a bid within a couple of minutes of the deadline, it will
automatically move the deadline a few minutes to allow others to make final
bids.
You cannot cancel a bid that is made. Be extra careful to make sure you enter
the correct value for the player you want to purchase.
Under the link "your players" you can see the players that you have
put on the transfer yourself (to sell). Under "your bids" you find the
players you are currently bidding on.
When you sell a player you have to pay taxes if
you make a profit. The tax system hits hard on players you have not had in your
squad for a long time. The longer you have had them the lower the taxes. The
current tax system for transfers are as follows:
1. When selling a player within 5 weeks of
purchase 95% of the profit is taken as tax.
2. When selling a player within 6-15 weeks of purchase 50% of the profit is
taken as tax.
3. When selling a player beyond 15 weeks of purchase 20% of the profit is taken
as tax.
4. When you sell a player within 15 weeks of purchase the form of that
particular player can be affected negatively. 5. You are only allowed to
purchase 2 players from the same club within a 15 week period. You are notified
if you try to purchase more from the same club.
6. If you have more than 10 sales within 15 weeks the form of your whole team
can be affected negatively.
In addition there is a maximum profit you can
make in one season which is set to 3 MUSD or equivalent in your currency.
Saleprice - the value of the player = profit
(must be a positive number).
The taxrules regading your youth squad is the
same as for other players.
You can also get this service for your mobile
phone so you do not miss any great players.

In addition to all the regular match statistics
you find when you watch a game, there is some other interesting stats as well.
You find this on the general statistics page.
The ranking system is a fun part of ManagerZone.
You are there compared to other managers and depending on how well you do you
will be ranked lower or higher. On the statistics page you can easily follow
your progress. You find your best, worst and average rank. You also see a graph
that shows the last weeks development.
The form graph is also very useful as you can
follow how the form for your total team is developing. The graph shows six weeks
back in time.
Other statistics includes scored goals separated
in cup and leage matches.
